Casper was my first project animating characters in 3D. About half a year before Balto was completed I was offered a job at ILM, along with 4 other animators from Amblimation, to work on Caspar.

We all underwent 3 months of intensive training in SoftImage and were then put onto the production. Casper became the first real character driven 3D animated feature and this production was also the first to use classically trained animators in place of people with a programming/IT background to animate the characters.
